I am a Sales & Business Development professional with more than 2 decades of significant industry experience, in building alliances for launching products in emerging technology sectors including eCommerce, mCommerce & mobile payments.
I have had the opportunity to play a stellar role in launching the 1st B2C eCommerce, mCommerce & Prepaid mobile wallet programs in India, while serving in companies , like Rediff.com, Onmobile Global, Obopay & Nokia India.
My role in all the above companies has been that of Business Development, that is, helping build the required ecosystem for the specified service / product / solutions of the companies to succeed. This required building the necessary partnerships with the industries which were connected and essential for the success of the companies’ products / services / solutions.
Post my stint at Nokia India, for launching the Mobile Wallet solution, I followed my entrepreneurial quest. I founded GTM Support Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in 2012, basically to offer “outsourced business development” solutions to companies providing technology & new age business solutions. Some of the key clients we are aligned with and serving so far include US based companies PayPal ( for developing their India strategy for mobile payments ), Mistralmobile.com (as their India & South Asia Representative ), 5M GLOBAL Dubai , Juntos Global, as their India representative. Some of the Indian companies I am aligned with are Health5C, ETM EPay Technologies, Krios Technologies as their Business Development Advisor and in some cases as an early stage investor.
My educational qualifications include Graduation in Economics and a Senior Management degree from IIM Kolkata. I am a long standing member at Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). Have also been part of industry bodies like the Mobile Payment Forum of India (MPFI) . I am also part of a business forum, Business Network International (BNI) and social forums like Rotary Club.
Having been part of 3 startups and that too with pioneering solutions, I have gone through all that it takes to “switch ON” services for the 1st time in a country like India. With my focus on Business Development, it was imperative for me to have the following capabilities
